The ‘Fleet Observer’ glass bottom boat will be running special excursions for the ‘Spirit of the Sea Festival’ to see the underwater world of the Fleet Lagoon with close up viewing of the Chesil Black Hut Survey Station, the little tern colony, an exposure of the Jurassic Coast and views of the carpet of anemones in the Fleet Lagoon.chesil_centre_logo.jpg A free leaflet on these features will be available for all and, free for children, a poster entitled the 'Undersea Landscapes of South West England', produced by Natural England. A fully trained boat skipper will be your personal guide to point out the many marine creatures that inhabit our waters. The ‘Fleet Observer’ is a shallow draft, glass bottom boat specifically designed and built to explore the lower reaches of the Fleet Lagoon. It will sail daily, weather and demand permitting. It can carry up to 12 passengers but we regret that access is not suitable for wheelchair users. Trips will last 60 minutes and leave the slipway by the Crab House Café.
