The
Skint Imperials - The
Skint Imperials are 3 highly experienced Weymouth musicians, who
decided to join forces at the end of last year. They are: Rob Ryan,
well known locally as a singer/guitarist, with a rich vocal style
well suited to powerful melodic material. Nick Gomer, well known
locally as the wizard of the blues harmonica, who brings a
distinctive sound to the trio, and who also sings. Barb Stanley,
blues shouter and erstwhile rock singer, long ago and far away! The
trio's main strength probably lies in the vocal range afforded by
having 3 lead singers, plus the combined influences of 3 experienced
musicians.

Sedwell -
"In the 80s I travelled
the Club circuit playing with the likes of Bert Jansch, John
Renbourn, Michael Chapman, Martin Simpson, Mike Absalom, Jake
Thackeray and Alexis Korner. The last two are sadly missed. Martin
will never be forgotten for his timeless advice on caring for
fingernails - they grew back after six months. In the 90s I did other
stuff. Hats off. In 2001 I came back to Weymouth and picked up on the
music again - starting from scratch. See what you think. If you like
it, cool. If not, that's cool too" www.iansedwell.com
