Doset Seafood Festival Secures High Profile Supporters For 2010 Event

2010 has started well for the organisers of the Dorset Seafood Festival after securing Lloyds TSB Commercial, the division of Lloyds Banking Group that supports small to medium-sized enterprises, and Bluebottle Beer, a new Australian beer launched in the UK, to support this summer’s event.

Lloyds TSB Commercial is a long-standing supporter of local businesses and its support is a real coup for the festival which will take place on 10th & 11th July 2010. ‘The 2009 Dorset Seafood Festival was an extremely successful event with approximately 50,000 visitors and one that really brings the Dorset community together. At Lloyds TSB Commercial, we take a relationship-led approach to banking, forging strong relationships with our customers and the community, and are delighted to be aligned with an event that promotes Dorset food producers and local fayre. We have many local customers that operate across the entire scope of the marine industry and we’re focused on supporting them in every way possible,’ said Jeremy Weekes, Relationship Manager for Lloyds TSB Commercial.

The Australian beer sponsor, Bluebottle, is the first beer in the world to have been brewed specifically to enhance the delicate flavours of seafood. Its lager style offers gentle bitterness, great aromatics and a hint of citrus to complement seafood dining and casual drinking occasions.

“Bluebottle Beer more than delivers on taste and its offer of a perfect seafood and beer pairing experience”, says Richard Moyse, Sales Director at KATO Enterprises Limited. “We expect it to become a sensation among diners who enjoy beer with their meals and who are happy to pay a premium price for brewing excellence.”

‘The Dorset Seafood Festival is an obvious event for us to sponsor and will provide a great forum for visitors to experience the perfect marriage of seafood and Bluebottle beer. We are very excited about the event and looking forward to getting to know all those involved,’ said Richard Moyse.

Plans for the summer event are going well with Mark HIx and 2009 Masterchef’s winner Matt Folas already signed up. Joe Wadsack, wine expert and previous BBC Saturday Kitchen presenter will be appearing for his third year to provide entertaining commentary on the programme of events.

‘The committee is delighted to have secured two such high profile brands for The 2010 Dorset Seafood Festival at such an early stage in the planning,’ said Lisa Worthington. ’Our vision is to create a world recognised event that drives visitors from around the world and with support like this we are well on track to realise that vision very quickly.’
